Weatherization
The Home Weatherization Program, starting again in Fall 2010, will help eligible families reduce home fuel costs of by sealing air leaks and minimizing air infiltration. Examples include caulking, weatherstripping, foaming gaps, installing door sweeps, minor insulation and installation of interior storm windows. Homeowners or renters with their landlord’s written permission who earn up to 80% of the area median income are eligible. This program is funded by the United Way of Mid-Coast Maine and there is no cost to the participants.
