Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to our goal of eliminating poverty housing.
About Us

Thanks to volunteers like the business group from Thyssenkrupp Elevator Service (all those with orange shirts) and the youth group from Smithtown High School out of Long Island, NY, there has been a lot of progress made on the house since the wall raising on July 15. The youth group came as a 16th birthday celebration for Emily Roach (seen blowing out the candles on cupcakes made by our Volunteer Coordinator Michele). See the picture below for a look at the house as of Wednesday, August 18.
Typical work days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:30-3:30. Groups of up to eight volunteers are welcome on Saturdays. There will be a two week break for professional drywall contractors to do work on the house so volunteer soon to "reserve" a slot by sending an e-mail to Michele Ober or calling her at 386-5081.
